Laurens Maartens is the Head of Operations for Argentex BV in Amsterdam. Alongside Managing Director, Jorn Andriessen, he manages day-to-day affairs, ensuring that the business runs seamlessly. 

Laurens is a seasoned professional renowned for his market expertise and leadership. His journey commenced with various roles at UBS, Rabobank and SaxoBank. Throughout his financial career, he worked in multiple European countries, accumulating a wealth of cross-cultural and cross-border insights that continue to shape his strategic outlook.

In 2013, Laurens became a minority shareholder and employee of the very first Dutch payment service provider for SME’s, the Nederlandsche Betaal en Wissel Maatschappij. This endeavor, licensed by the De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and the Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM), not only showcased his entrepreneurial ambitions but also reinforced his commitment to driving innovation within the financial landscape.
